The Bachelor of Science (Applied Mathematics) with Honours is designed to equip graduates with comprehensive training in Mathematical Science. Graduates will possess the skills to apply their knowledge to address the workforce demands of the country. The program combines mathematical theories and concepts across diverse areas such as computing, optimization, geometry, physical sciences, and beyond. Students will gain hands-on experience with modern mathematical techniques and computer programming. Furthermore, the program cultivates logical, systematic, and precise thinking, enabling students to devise effective solutions in various related fields.
Algebra, Linear Algebra, Real Analysis, Financial Derivatives, Calculus, Industrial Training, Macroeconomics, Investment Mathematics, Systematic Thinking and Programming, Stochastic Modelling and Applications, Introduction to Stochastic Differential Equations, Optimization, Operations Research with SAS, Ordinary Differential Equations, Final Year Project, Statistics, Probability Theory in Finance.
STPM LEAVERS (SCIENCE)
Obtain at least Grade C in Mathematics T at STPM level.
STPM LEAVERS (ARTS)
Obtain at least Grade C in Mathematics M and one additional subject at STPM level.
MATRICULATION / FOUNDATION LEAVERS (SCIENCE / ENGINEERING / SOCIAL SCIENCE / ACCOUNTING)
Obtain at least Grade C in Mathematics at Matriculation/Foundation level.
DIPLOMA / EQUIVALENT HOLDERS
Possess a Diploma or other equivalent qualification recognised and approved by the University Senate
MALAYSIAN UNIVERSITY ENGLISH TEST (MUET)
Obtain at least Band 2.0 for results from Session 1, 2021 onwards, or Band 2 for results from 2020 and earlier, subject to the validity period at the time of application.
